Washington, DC – GSN (Game Show Network) is now conducting its second annual
National Vocabulary Championship (NVC). All eligible U.S. high school students
are encouraged to prepare for and take the online National Qualifying Exam at
WinWithWords.com offered now through November 30th.

The 2nd annual vocabulary competition is the topic of the latest Cable in the

NVC is a nationwide academic competition that offers high school students
between the ages of 13 to 19 the opportunity to win money for college tuition.
Students can qualify through the online National Qualifying Exam and regional
testing across the U.S., or through in-school exams and Citywide Championship
events in select cities. Interested students in grades 9 through 12, should
visit WinWithWords.com to take the online exam by November 30, 2007.

CIC’s podcast interview with the host of the National Vocabulary Championship,
Dylan Lane, offers details about free Princeton Review support materials for
vocabulary study, this year's NVC competition and GSN's plans for the March
2008 NVC Finals in Los Angeles.

“Hopefully, students will be encouraged to learn more about vocabulary, develop
a bigger lexicon and begin to communicate more effectively and eloquently for
the rest of their lives,” explained Lane, who is also the host of the new
version of the game show Chain Reaction on GSN.

As the nation’s only academic competition for high school-aged students that
test their vocabulary skills, the NVC helps to promote the importance of a
healthy vocabulary to U.S. teens. WinWithWords.com also provides free,
downloadable Princeton Review study materials and offers live game show-style
events that award college-bound students with a love for vocabulary over
$100,000 in money toward tuition and other awards.
