
Princeton University’s Center for African American Studies is
hosting a two-day symposium focusing on the life, career and cultural
impact of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and popular music legend
James Brown. Entitled “ ‘Ain’t That A Groove’: The Genius of James Brown,”
this symposium marks the first international conference ever held to
commemorate the work of one of America’s most influential musicians and
entertainers.
Princeton University’s Center for African-American Studies aims to
celebrate and explore the lasting impact of James Brown’s career on the
world of popular music and more broadly on American life and culture.
