Update: 12/24/07 XO Laptop Review Some Disappointments

12/23/07 GOT MY XO LAPTOP TODAY

OOOOh boy

I got the XO laptop today. Fresh out of the box. You get to see if first with me!!

I think I would actually use it to read books - you can twist the monitor around, lay it down and read your book.
It's very very very light - easy to carry

i've taken my picture, made a video, learned some of the buttons -

it's a teeny weeny keyboard but lots of places to stick stuff like a big keyboard, mouse, xtra thumb drive
it's so so cool.

The weird thing is that I got email today from xo saying that my xo wouldn't be delivered until jan 15.
but it came today so you know something is a little screwy over there.

i didn't get any email with my pin

1) Then the email says i will have to wait for another email with a pin # to sign in and get my free account.
http://hotspot.t-mobile.com/give1get1

2) None of the numbers on the box is the pin.

3) that took me at least an hour on the phone to get the url above (5 people - none of the people ever heard of this xo thing)

4) biz support team is supposed to call me to help me get an account.

 t-mobile  1 year free connection

All the hot spots i can use!

I also thought I've be getting the pull thingy to wind it up and the solar panels too - but no - MIA - that costs more money. (<sigh>)

more ABOUT the xo laptop - you can still buy them.

xo info

contact

Doesn't work with Linksys <total bummer>

anyway enjoy all my pics & if you are in the philly area and want to play together to see them in action just  lemme know.

happy holidays,

<Karen>
